Me Made May week four

It almost feels a bit late to do a final retrospective on my first Me Made May, but life got in the way of writing blog posts (I am shocked at the 13 drafts that as sitting here, some have photos, some text, some just a few notes, soooo many pieces created over the last few months and not blogged…).

So, my first Me Made May… I loved it, it was mostly easy, showed me some of the gaps in my wardrobe and that there are quite a few pieces I have not worn for reasons that are really stupid. It’s also brought my unfinished sewing pile to renewed attention. One of the main things I loved was watching what everyone was wearing, what they had sewn and how they combined it and I hope everyone will continue with #memadeeveryday. I have become somewhat addicted to Instagram 😉

Here the last week: Day 24 was one of those days that showed me that I need some more casual work clothes, something is still work appropriate but works with casual jeans. This was my green Paola turtleneck with a rtw jersey boyfriend blazer and rtw black jeans. I loooove the Paola pattern, just bought another bit of merino in blue…

Day 25, secret pyjamas in the form of the Dakota Shawl Collar dress. I still love the line of the skirt!

Day 26, back to the beginning with a coral Burda A-line skirt and black merino Paola turtleneck. Also worn but not pictured my ever present slip… I often skip the lining and use a slip instead. Laziness? Maybe… I also don’t like none natural lining next to my skin when not wearing tights or leggings.

Day 27, my wearable muslin Ginger jeans (really wearable!) and some rtw top/long-line cardigan. I also have some nice grey knit sitting here earmarked for a Stylearc Zoe cardigan. Must get around to it…

Day 28, brand new (finished that morning) blue and green striped Bowline sweater by Papercut patterns with my Gingers. The sweater is another one I need to blog. It’s a really nice pattern.

Day 29 was just spend in my green Hudson Trousers at home…

Day 30, black and white striped Inari tee dress, yet another Named pattern, I seem to have a lot of those 😉 This is really another secret pyjama that I loooove.

Day 31, ending the month with one of my all-time favourites, a coral merino Renfrew sweater with cowl neck. Another absolute love of mine.

I hope everyone had as good a time as I had with Me Made May 2016. I hope to get some things completed in time for Indie Pattern month over on The Monthly Stitch.
